City Kids is the Children’s Ministries Department of City Temple, serving children from birth to 12 years old.

RELATIONSHIPS – We believe that life-change happens best in the context of relationships. We are committed to fostering a community of people who seek a relationship with God first, model Christ-like behavior to children, and lovingly support each other.
APPLICATION – We believe that children should be taught practical ways to implement biblical truths in their lives. We commit to R(elational) E(xperential) A(applicable) L(earner based) teaching that is congruent with the holistic needs and developmental stages of each child.

City Kids Kits and Activities
Every Sabbath, City Kids' kits (for ages 18 months – 5 years old) and Play Packs (for ages 6 – 10 years old) are distributed weekly. These materials can be picked up right before church service and returned immediately after the service, to the display at the welcome desk.Stargazers Adventurers Club
Children (Ages 3-10)
*The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist church- sponsored ministry in which the church, home and school join together to help children grow joyfully in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. The Adventurer Club is offered to assist parents in making the development of their child richer and more meaningful. The Adventurer Leader works closely with the Pathfinder Leader and the Children’s Ministry Director.

Sabbath School
Each Sabbath morning at 10:00 AM, Sabbath School classes welcome children for 45 minutes of active learning geared to their stage of faith development, for ages 3 - 12. The curriculum utilized is the Foundations in Faith program theme of the Dig In curriculum produced by Group Publishing.
Vacation Bible School
Ages: 3-10
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an evangelism endeavor that occurs over a period of five days during the summer. The Vacation Bible School Director oversees this program and works closely with the Children’s Ministries Director. Group Publishing’s Holy Land Adventure Series is the VBS program of choice as children are able to experience a Bible story come to life. A team of volunteers help execute this program.
Post COVID, VBS programming has not yet resumed.
Children’s Story
Children’s Story is a time within the 11:00 AM service dedicated specifically to the children and their spiritual growth. Prior to the story, the children collect an offering from the audience that goes to support the church school, SWAJA.
Children Story time is set to restart soon.
