Pastor Jaime Kowlessar
Pastor Jaime Kowlessar began his ministry at City Temple on October 5, 2013. After completing his undergraduate studies in theology at Atlantic Union College (2003), as well as his Masters of Divinity at Andrews University (2006), Pastor Kowlessar spent the first six years of his ministry in his native New York City. For four years he served the Ephesus SDA Church (Harlem, NY) as the Youth & Young Adult Pastor, and during this time he received his ordination as a minister of the gospel. He then accepted the call to pastor the Bethany SDA Church (Westbury Long Island), where God used his dynamic ministry to increase a membership of 27 to more than 300 souls. In addition to being a family man and a New York Knicks fan, he is a true student of the Word, and his passion for ministry is entwined with his pursuit of social justice as well as his astuteness in modern culture.
Pastor Rogers Johnson
A product of humble beginnings, Rogers Johnson was born in the small town of Navasota, Texas, the fifth of nine children. Throughout his life, Pastor Johnson has proven to be a mighty worker for the Lord. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he completed a degree in Theology. In the past 25 years, Pastor Johnson has overseen the building of four churches and baptized over 1,200 souls. Pastor Johnson has a strong passion for Prison and Youth Ministries. He has founded churches in three institutions and has baptized over 300 prisoners. His love for youth has motivated him to serve in many capacities, including Pathfinder Director and Assistant Youth Director. Pastor Johnson recently shepherded four churches in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and Livingston, Texas, while also serving as Pathfinder Coordinator for Southwest Region Conference.
