City Kids is the Children’s Ministries Department of City Temple, serving children from birth to 12 years old.

Parents are asked to register their children with the department by clicking this link. Use the ctchildmin@gmail.com email to contact the Children's Ministries Leader for information on events and programs.

Biblical Mandate: Proverbs 22:6 KJV “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Mission: Equipping kids to know, grow, and show God’s love.

Role: Our role is to IMPACT the lives of children: Introduce children to the gospel of Jesus Christ Minister to their needs Partner with their parents as we pray that they will accept Christ as their Savior, And train them to serve God as they embark in a lifelong relationship with Him

Values: These are our values as we train children:

TRUTH – We believe the Bible is God’s Word and is the basis of truth.

RELATIONSHIPS – We believe that life-change happens best in the context of relationships. We are committed to fostering a community of people who seek a relationship with God first, model Christ-like behavior to children, and lovingly support each other.

APPLICATION – We believe that children should be taught practical ways to implement biblical truths in their lives. We commit to R(elational) E(xperential) A(applicable) L(earner based) teaching that is congruent with the holistic needs and developmental stages of each child.

INNOVATION – We believe that church should be fun and relevant. We are committed to a vibrant, experiential atmosphere and programming that inspires children to be excited about their relationship with God and learning about Him.

NURTURING – We believe in providing children with an atmosphere of emotional safety, physical security, and sanitary conditions. We are committed to exceptional standards in these areas.

Stargazers Adventurers Club

Children (Ages 3-10)

*The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist church- sponsored ministry in which the church, home and school join together to help children grow joyfully in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. The Adventurer Club is offered to assist parents in making the development of their child richer and more meaningful. The Adventurer Leader works closely with the Pathfinder Leader and the Children’s Ministry Director.

    Objectives

    The Adventurer Club provides fun and creative ways for children:

  • to develop a Christ-like character;
  • to experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well;
  • to express their love for Jesus in a natural way;
  • to learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others;
  • to discover their God-given abilities and to learn how to use them to benefit self and serve
  • Others
  • to discover God’s world;
  • to improve their understanding of what makes families strong;
  • to develop parental support for the training of children.

Sabbath School

Each Sabbath morning at 10:00 AM, Sabbath School classes welcome children and provide 45 minutes of active learning geared to their stage of faith development, for ages 3 - 12. The Foundations In Faith program from the Dig In curriculum is used, produced by Group Publishing.

    Children’s Sabbath School Classes:
  • Primary (Ages 3-7)
  • Juniors (Ages 8–12)

City Kids' Kits and Activities

Every Sabbath we distribute City Kids' Kits (for ages 18 months – 5 years old) and Children's Bulletins & Sermon Notes (for ages 6 – 10 years old). These materials can be picked up before church service and returned immediately after the service to the display at the welcome desk.

The Family Experience

The "Family Experience" weekly video series offers families with children ages 3-12, a child-centered bible study. Exploration of the lesson continues at Sabbath School each week at 10:00AM. Family Monthly Meetups

Monthly, families with children ages 3-12 will gather for fun and learning about our Creator and His creation at various locations throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. To receive updates on these activities, provide your cell number and email address to ctchildmin@gmail.com.
